Refunds

To be eligible for a refund, you must have a credit account balance posted on your student account.

In order to provide more flexible options for receiving refunds, CSU is a partner with BankMobile to deliver financial aid and other school refunds to CSU students. 

  • The initial Spring 2025 financial aid refund begins after Financial Aid is disbursed on January 31st.  (Students must have a credit balance by January 30th to be eligible for a refund to be processed on January 31st)
  • Refunds are processed on Friday, and the direct deposit will process the following week by Wednesday. Note:

    The bank refund dates are an estimate and depends on your banking institutions direct deposit schedule.

  • Picking up your refund check is not an option. 

All students are required to make a selection in BankMobile of how the refund will be deposited. Here's what you need to do:

  1. Cougar Connect.
  2. Select the Student Account Center
  3. On the Announcement Section
  4. Select the "Continue to BankMobile" button to make your refund preference selection. Note: you only have to set up your eRefund account once. If you have changes to your account then you will need to update the information again. 

Or 

    1. Go to Cougar Connect
    2. Click on CSU Xpress
    3. Click on Student Accounts
    4. Select BankMobile/Set up ERefund
    5. You will then following the steps to set up your refund selection in the BankMobile portal

Spring 2025 Refund

**The refund date is when the refund is processed on your student account not when the funds will be direct deposited. Please allow up to 3 business days from the refund date for the refund to be direct deposited to the refund selection you have set up in BankMobile.
